At SENCORP, we believe good work deserves to be rewarded. Our benefits packages have depth and breadth, and ranges from medical and life insurance to disability and retirement plans. As a SENCORP employee, you are important to our success and we want you to have the peace of mind that a strong package of benefits brings.
Your coverage becomes effective two months following your date of hire.
Health Benefits: Health benefits include medical and dental coverage for you and your eligible family members, as well as flexible spending accounts.
Medical: You are eligible for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) HealthMate Coast to Coast, which is a preferred provider organization model (PPO). It is available throughout the United States, regardless of where you live.
You and SENCORP share in the cost. SENCORP pays 75%, and the employee is responsible for 25% of the cost.
Dental: We offer a preferred provider organization plan (PPO) through Altus Dental. You and SENCORP share in the cost in the same ratio as with the medical plan.
Flexible Spending Accounts: Flexible spending accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to reimburse yourself for eligible health care and dependent care expenses. We offer two spending accounts - one for health care, another for dependent care. A maximum of $3500 may be set aside each calendar year.
Life and Accident: We provide coverage for term life insurance and accidental death and personal loss coverage to employees in an amount equal to one times eligible pay, paid 100 percent by SENCORP.
- Life
You receive company-paid term life insurance equal to one times your eligible pay. Optional supplemental life insurance is offered. You may purchase from one to four times your eligible pay in supplemental life coverage for yourself up to a maximum of $400,000. When combined with the company-paid term life insurance (one times your eligible pay), you can boost your life insurance coverage up to a maximum of five times your eligible pay. Additionally, if you purchase supplemental life coverage, you may purchase Dependent Spouse/Same-Gender Domestic Partner for your spouse/domestic partner, and you also may purchase term life insurance for your dependent child(ren) and your domestic partner's child(ren).
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment
You receive company-paid accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance equal to one times your eligible pay. You may purchase accidental death and dismemberment insurance in increments of one to four times eligible pay.
Paid Time Off and Disability: We provide a variety of programs for paid time away from work for eligible employees.
- Vacation
Each year eligible employees receive a certain amount of vacation time that is intended to allow paid time off for vacation, off-the-job injury, personal leave, and other short-term absences. In general, during your first four years at SENCORP, you receive the equivalent of 10 vacation days per year. The longer you work at SENCORP, the more time you accrue per month. Company holidays, jury duty, military leave, and bereavement time are in addition to vacation.
- Short Term Disability Benefits
If you become disabled and unable to work, SENCORP provides Short Term Disability benefits, at no cost to you, to help you meet your financial responsibilities. Eligible employees who become ill or injured receive an amount of base pay for up to 13 weeks of certified disability after a waiting period. The amount of base pay depends on your length of service at the time you become disabled.
- Long Term Disability (LTD) Benefits Insurance
SENCORP also provides Long Term Disability insurance coverage that provides a total monthly benefit equal to 60 percent of your eligible pay. You may be eligible to receive LTD benefits after a 13-week period of certified short-term disability.
Personal and Family Benefits: We understand that managing work, family and life in general isn't always easy. That's why we offer the following benefits to help you build, balance and manage yourself, your work and your life, so you can stay healthy, happy and on track.
Wellness Program: Through our medical plan, we also offer a Wellness Program, which helps employees focus on preventative care and check-ups. Frequently throughout the year, employees may participate in blood pressure or other health screenings or attend workshops on nutrition, exercise, etc., at no additional charge to them. Health related info is also shared periodically so everyone can stay informed on the latest health and wellness issues. Our Wellness Program is available to all employees whether they are subscribers to our medical plan or not.
Employee Assistance Program: Employee Assistance provides employees and their eligible family members with a comprehensive continuum of information as well as referrals to resources, health professionals, and individual and family counseling. This program is designed to enhance and support your work/life balance and provide behavioral health, financial counseling and basic legal assistance to you and your eligible family members.
SENCORP 401(k) Plan: The SENCORP 401(k) Plan offers you the opportunity to save a percentage of your pay -- on a pretax basis. You can invest your employee contributions among the various investment options offered in the plan, which include: a Stability of Principal, bonds, balanced, large cap value and growth, small/mid-cap/specialty and global/international accounts. Taxes are deferred on your account while it remains invested in the plan.
You may be able to transfer (roll over) funds from another employer's qualified savings plan to the SENCORP 401(k) Plan, even if you are not contributing to the plan.
Healthy and productive: To help promote a healthy work environment, SENCORP is smoke-free throughout all company facilities and permits smoking only in designated areas outside.
